Well there I was, passing through Little Rock on a 15 hour drive back to Texas with the lighting guy riding shotgun. He wanted to get drive-thru Chinese food- but I insisted that we find some sort of local dining establishment for a proper meal. I noticed Cary's Grill and Bar on the maps not too far from our location, checked out the menu, and decided it was our destination for some much-needed grub. Despite being slightly taken aback by the somewhat incongruous strip-mall setting, I ignored the protests from the lighting guy and we walked inside to grab a table. For 6:30 on a Saturday evening the place seemed fairly empty, but several other parties trickled in as time passed. The dining room in which we were seated was spacious and well-lit, and I couldn't help but notice that judging by some of the decor it seemed to have been a Chinese restaurant at one point previously- which I was hoping would appease the lighting guy. I ordered the fish and grits specialty with a side of green beans and it was absolutely fantastic. Despite a few quirks, this place really hit the spot and even the lighting guy was finally convinced that we made the right choice. He left a crummy tip on the company card, which I lambasted him for as our service was excellent. Slightly confusing that Cary's was advertised as a bar & grill but didn't serve any beer or other alcohol as far as I could tell- however given that we were in the midst of a long-haul driving endeavor, this was probably for the best. I did get the vibe that they were somewhat of a new business. Definitely will plan to stop in again the next time I'm passing through Little Rock!

There’s no reason for Cary’s to be a “hidden gem.” Today we met Terrell (spelling), who was one of the owners. I was hangry, but his calming presence helped me find the right order. Wednesday’s special is chicken spaghetti, which was fantastic. While it dates familiar, I think their version has a little something extra. We also had wings with lemon pepper and their spicy mango sauce, both cooked to perfection. Our kiddo really enjoyed the (massive) hot dog and green bean side. I cannot recommend Cary’s enough. Lots of parking, no steps, and easy access.

First time. Let me tell you we thought the wings (honey mustard) would be soggy. They were crispy the entire time. The fish, OMGooooddness. Being from South Mississippi I love my catfish. This fish took me back home. The sides are on point. Only thing was our fries wasn't that seasoned. Overall 1000/10. Highly recommend. Service was great as well.

I love trying new restaurants, especially locally owned. It is not just the food, it is the experience, the feeling. Today I tried Cary's Grill and Bar. I felt like I was home, having a meal with family. The food was made with love, and a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back and I will be bringing people with me!

Carys Restaurant is Wonderful. It was my first time coming here but it certainly won't my last. I came again the very next day. The food is amazing and was delivered to our tables in a timely manner. Each meal was delicious, according to each family member as well as myself. It was 11 of us (3) were children ages 9 and under). All orders were correct. The owners areTerrell Sanders and Katrina Sanders. They both were attentive and accommodating to each of us. We truly appreciate their customer service and professionalism. The atmosphere is cozy. There are TV's in the restaurant. I will definitely make this restaurant a Must Go To Place each time I'm in the area. Fantastic job to the both.

If you haven't been to Cary's Gtill and bar in North Little Rock, you are missing out!!!! It is a no frills restaurant but the food....chef's kiss!!! I have not had their breakfast, so I can't recommend YET, but I have had lunch there several times and plan on many more. The club sandwich is my go-to, and theirs did NOT disappoint. The specialty dogs are amazing. The chicken fried steak is HUGE and delish. But the superstar.......the burger! A burger, you say? Yes! The perfectly seasoned thick, juicy patty that the juices run down your arm as you are eating it burger. Don't sleep on the home cut fries. They are worth the $2.99 uncharge. I have eaten on them for 3 days! They are perfect air fried the next day. My aunt said the veggie plate was awesome. I can't attest to that one either. Lol. Give Cary's a try! It might take a minute to get your burger because it comes out warm and to perfection. They are in Pike Plaza at the corner of Pershing and Pike. You will not be disappointed!!!

Very friendly staff, but the food was out of this world. Best fried catfish and cornbread I've ever eaten. The Mac n cheese and green beans were also delish. Nothing fancy, but if you like good food that is reasonably priced, this is a definite go to. The chicken fried steak dinner was large portion and excellent as well.
